Education
Quebec has one of the best education systems in North America. It consist of public and private French and English-language institutions from kindergarten level through university.

Children between the ages of 6 and 16 must attend school and there are nearly 3000 preschool, elementary and secondary public school and 310 private schools in Quebec. In the public system, education is free of charge from preschool though CEGEP (post-secondary college). Children who do not speak French when they move to Quebec will receive intensive language instruction in basic French so that they can be transferred to regular classes as their language skills improve.

Education in English - Temporary foreign workers are permitted to choose the language of their children. This may not be the same for workers with permanent residence status.

Public Services
Media - More than 400 periodicals are published in Quebec (75% French - 15% in English). Television viewers have access to local English and French channels, as well as American channels.

Electricity - Quebec has abundant hydroelectric energy at the lowest rates in North America.

Subway System - Montreal is served by 65km of Metro lines with 65 stations.

Underground City - A 30km network of boutiques, restaurants, theatres, movie theatres, banks, transportation, universities and apartment complexes are to be below in downtown Montreal.
